Samuel Lincoln

Samuel Lincoln, ancestor of the American President Abraham Lincoln was baptised at Hingham Church.  Apprenticed to Francis Lawes, a Norwich weaver, he sailed from Great Yarmouth in 1637, to settle in Hingham, Massachusetts. Samuel was part of larger migration of Lincolns – 8 adult Lincoln men set up households in New England.
