Burnham Rectory was the reputed birthplace of Admiral Lord Nelson. The original building was certainly his childhood home. The site of the former rectory (the house in which Nelson was born) is marked by a roadside plaque. In All Saints Church there is a small display detailing the events of Nelson’s life, a stone bust and memorial.
