Henry Ainsworth was baptised in 1570 in All Saints Church, Swanton Morley. Ainsworth was a Hebrew scholar and separatist reformer who fled to Holland where he welcomed the group that would later become the Pilgrim Fathers. Copies of his Book of Psalms went out on the Mayflower and were widely used in the Plymouth Colony.
