We ran an exciting writing competition for children and young people aged between 7 and 18.
Entrants were asked to use the Norfolk’s American Connections website as a starting point to write about any historical links between Norfolk and North America. They could write a factual essay, or a piece of creative writing (including poetry).
The standard of entries was extremely high, and we were delighted to award prizes to Alice Hare and Lucy Pegg, both aged 16, for their brilliant work on RAF Sculthorpe and Harriet Martineau respectively. Both winners were given ten passes for up to five people for free entry to Norfolk County Council museums.
