St Andrew’s Church
Contains a bronze bust of Abraham Lincoln and memorials to the Gilman family. Samuel Lincoln, ancestor of American President Abraham, was baptised at Hingham church in 1622. Edward Gilman Sr., ancestor of Nicholas Gilman, New Hampshire delegate to the Continental Congress and signer of the US Constitution, emigrated from Hingham to America.
The church is normally open during the day, 9am – 5pm April – October, and 10am – 2pm November – March.
